The first collective agreement was ratified in January 1999. The Durham APSSP held its first union meeting with a four-member board of directors on June 20, 1984. Our first collective agreement was ratified in 1999. Our membership varies from 20 to 25 in a given year. The London District Catholic School Board has 43 primary schools and 9 secondary schools. Approximately 18,000 students in Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin counties, including the cities of London, St. Thomas, Strathroy and Woodstock, are trained in our school system. The St. Clair SNC Board of Directors includes 30 elementary schools and three secondary schools with approximately 10,500 students in the Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent regions of Ontario.
The St. Clair SNC Board of Directors employs approximately 1,000 teachers. Our first collective agreement with the DCDSB was concluded for the period of September 1984. Our current Board of Directors is composed of nine members from different disciplines. The number of chapter members is about 43. As of October 2008, the DCDSB had enrolled a total of 24,456 students. This figure consists of 15,618 primary and 8,838 secondary students. The DCDSB has 39 primary schools and seven secondary schools. The council also supports an adult education centre, a Catholic return programme, a continuing education centre and a Learning to 18 programme.

The number of members of the chapter is from 18 to 20 people. Dufferin Peel`s professional student support staff has been associated with the APSSP since 1975. The main interest was to join a member-led and democratic union, specifically focused on supporting the role of the school`s professional support staff. The Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board covers a wide geographic area and includes the communities of Orangeville, Caledon, Mississauga and Brampton. The number of members of the chapter is about 58 people. The Halton Chapter is a long-standing member of the APSSP. The first collective agreement was ratified in August 1993. The number of members of the chapter is about 20 people. Wcdsb consists of 47 elementary schools and five secondary schools with approximately 24,000 students in Waterloo Region.
There are approximately 1,753 teachers employed by the WCDSB. The Niagara District School Board consists of 97 elementary schools with approximately 27,130 students. It includes 12 communities in Ontario: Fort Erie, Lincoln, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Pelham, Colborne, St. Catharines, Thorold, Wainfleet, Welland and West Lincoln. The Niagara District School Board employs approximately 1,375 teachers. There are 141 Catholic schools, including 123 primary schools and 26 secondary schools. Since 1998, the APSSP branch of the St. Clair Catholic District School Board has represented speech-language pathologists, social workers, child and youth workers, and sign language interpreters. We are currently more than 90 members. The HCDSB consists of 39 primary schools and seven secondary schools.
